So I think I jinxed our weather on my last post; we are back to our awful, freezing cold, Ottawa winter weather. Whomp whomp.

Let's talk about an infamous topic, if you guessed, Valentine's Day you're right! Now as some of you may or may not know I am not one to celebrate this "holiday", for one I am single, and have never had a significant other upon this day. As much as people and myself claim that we don't care for this specific day, it is unfortunately still a large topic of conversation & a large demographic that is very much involved in this popular day.
Instead of giving you ideas as to what to do as a couple, here are some things to do as a single independent woman.
  • Host a small get together with some close single friends or have a girls night only
  • Movie night! Get your friends together for a movie night (load of treats, and favourite chick flicks!)
  • Go out for a night on the town, dress up and go for a nice dinner + drinks
  • Have a weekend get away with yourself or some friends
  • Go for a walk in a forest, or garden and have a picnic (if the weather permits - I could not do this in Ottawa)
  • Load up your car with friends and snacks, head to a drive in movie
  • Spa day (by yourself time or with friends) - check out Nordik Spa
  • Get your dose of chocolate at Cacao70 (Byward Market & Lansdowne) - Website here
I am personally spending it with a few close girlfriends, get dolled up and go for a nice dinner!
Faux Fur Coat - Altuzarra for Target, Lace-up Front Bodysuit - H&M,
Button Front A-Line Skirt + Suede Knee High Boots - Zara,
Sunglasses - Spitfire, Bucket Bag - KENZO
This bag is still by far one of my favorites!
These sunglasses are a brand called Spitfire, truly my new found love, I really want to get a few more. They are not only very cool looking, but have these badass springs on either side; makes them really easy to flip open.
