Well I will begin with quite a few things that have been going on with me...

my precious car Elvis has reached the end of an era a few weeks ago. It had gone into the shop after many issues that kept popping up that week, it took the mechanics at Nissan sometime to figure out what was causing all the problems...and in the end all these problems resulted to a hefty bill, potential things that wouldn't remain fixed and more money to invest. As much as I would love to invest, and pay for Elvis to be fixed this spending would be more than the car was worth at this point, and again no security that it wouldn't break down again. I was a hard decision, but I had chosen to part with Elvis and invest in a newer vehicle, he had been with me for 9 years, many adventures + memories were made together. I know some of you may look at this and say "lady it was a car!", and that's totally fine, I have just been quite attached to my car and the memories made. Elvis was used for some salvaged pieces and then got recycled - the thought still makes me so sad but I have to look at it as this is the start to new adventures in my new car. I'm very fortunate to be able to get myself a new vehicle, but I wish I had a little more time to search for something I really loved... I ended up getting a Kia Soul (not my favorite) but ultimately the color is just totally not me, which I'm hoping to safe money and wrapping it. So that's that!

I have also finally almost fully recovered from a super bad cold I had, was sick for the last week and it's been quite brutal. Anyways, definitely happy it's Friday, i felt like we were never going to make it to the end of the week. I'm looking forward to the long weekend ahead!

I feel like maybe I should do more DIY projects or something? Maybe even more getting ready snippets in my closet, or building multiple outfits around one specific item.

I don't just a few thoughts in my mind!

I feel like I should have done a showing of the making behind this varsity jacket... took me a little while to finish it but I love the end result and I suppose it's an ever growing little patch shrine. This has been a project I wanted to complete a while ago, I've always loved the idea of having my Instagram name on a jacket (you know to feel cool!). The patches are a collection that I've accumulated throughout some time! The 'Aurelcee' embroidered lettering was done in Ottawa, at a local shop that customizes sports jerseys - he was excited about this little project as it was something out of his ordinary day. I loved the end result! The basic varsity jacket I got quite a few years ago at Forever 21, it was just a plain body with faux leather sleeves. I knew from when I purchased the jacket I was intending to make modifications; adding the studs on the shoulder, 'Aurelcee' stitching and my collage of patches.
